I’m an oceanographer based at the University of Michigan specialising in ocean biogeochemistry and mathematical modelling. My research draws on many different subdisciplines within marine science and addresses a broad range of topics, from human impacts on the ocean (e.g., dead zones, invasive species) to fundamental questions of how geochemistry and biological communities interact. Details of past and ongoing projects can be found on my research page. In addition to my appointment at the University of Michigan, I also hold a position at Utrecht University in The Netherlands
